Dr. Giuseppe D’Amelio is a board certified psychiatrist and the founder of Bayside Psychiatry.

Dr. D’Amelio graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology before relocating to St. Louis, Missouri for his medical training. He completed both medical school and psychiatry residency training at Washington University in St. Louis and Barnes Jewish Hospital. In addition to extensive training in psychiatric evaluation, assessment, and treatments, Dr. D’Amelio spent a significant amount of time working to implement approaches that incorporate more of the human experience into how mental health was taught.

After residency, Dr. D’Amelio moved to Rhode Island where he has specialized in working with college students, graduate and professional students, and young adults. Dr. D’Amelio treats a wide array of mental illnesses including depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, psychotic disorder, ADHD, stress, and has a particular specialty working with OCD.
